Two women who survived the tsunami in the Batticaloa-Ampara district of Northeastern Sri Lanka, because they were shopping at the market early that morning. They now wait in line to sign up for basic necessities in the corridors of a school turned displacement camp. Women who have lost their sons, husbands and fathers face insurmountable odds as the chances of finding jobs and financial support is rare.
